Warning: reading this will either cause nightmares or a sudden drop in ones whisky supply. Or both!

I suspect the author is attempting to call on every gun owner to VOTE come November. Yet, at some point, the leftists will bring this to a head. I simply don't believe Patriots will roll over and comply, not ever.

Where were all the voters when the GCA ‘68 passed?

“What are the most important things the law changed?

It banned interstate shipments of firearms and ammunition to private individuals [and] sales of guns to minors, drug addicts and “mental incompetents.” This is the first time you have in law that mentally unbalanced people ought not to be able to get guns — also convicted felons. It also strengthened the licensing and record-keeping requirements for gun dealers, and that was significant because gun dealers were subject to virtually no systematic scrutiny up until this time, although a 1938 federal law did establish a fee they paid to government to be a licensed dealer. It banned importation of foreign-made surplus firearms, except those appropriate for sporting purposes.”

Sooner or later, you will all realize voting is totally useless. Your time would be better spent preparing your weapons and improving your marksmanship skills.

When the big gun grab is deployed they will focus on a "Registered" gun owners that own multiple firearms. In a Blue State where registration was mandatory they know who has guns. Your only chance is to hope they have a big fire that destroys all their records. They will try to make an example of a few and since you are armed they will send armed Gestapo to your house to confiscate. You will either have to give it up or shoot it out with probable death in your future. Remember that they are crucifying a law abiding Taxpayer---not a criminal. Keep that in perspective. Think Communist takeover in your own country and your options become very clear.

Well, you know if the PTB go there, that will be the spark that ignites an all out war.

For those of you that weren't even around in 1968, let me give you the short version. Voting age was 21. We were serving our country, but could not vote, or drink in a bar. The second point, the GCA '68 was a long- painful process. The NRA, while going along with the least Draconian provisions, fought against the outright ban on several classes of weapons. A lot of people are bitter, and joined other Gun Rights groups in retaliation for the NRA backing down some. I'm one of them. BUT, and this is a big but, the NRA stopped outright universal long gun registration and a complete ban on handguns, the original bill contained these clauses. In the end, the Democrats and some Republicans passed the GCA '68 because of John F Kennedy, Martin Luther King, and the Texas bell tower loonie Whitman. Guns were becoming unpopular in certain influential segments of Society. The GCA '68 passed before the November election.

That’s exactly right, Rob—a certain “influential segment of society” bends the elections their way and nullifies our vote, which is our only recourse, and remands them to second priority. We barely got a Republican elected to the presidency in 2016, and here we are discussing how we’re going to save our 2A in 2020 going forward.
The fight is lost at the ballot box.

Personally, I truly believe their will be more gun control measures within 6 months of the election regardless of who is elected. If things look bad enough for one candidate, I can see it happening prior. Sorry all, that's just how I see it. Neither candidate is a staunch supporter of our gun rights.

“There’s no political salvation coming from the Republican party. Like Trump himself, it doesn’t have any core principles. It just reacts to the Dems and proposes less radical alternatives to their ideas. It doesn’t stand for anything. It’s only capable of putting forward empty suits, pure establishment figures like Bob Dole, Mitt Romney, or a Bush. Or a non-entity like Pence. That’s a formula for disaster in today’s demographic and cultural environment.”

“One of the consequences of this widely acknowledged dysfunction is to delegitimize the whole idea of voting. As you know, I don’t believe in mass democracy, because it inevitably degrades into a system where the poorer citizens vote themselves benefits at the expense of the middle class. Basically, mob rule dressed in a coat and tie. But if the populace loses faith in “democracy” during a serious economic crisis—like this one—they’re going to look for a strong man to straighten things out. The US will look more and more like Argentina.” —Doug Casey

Everyone remembers the tale of the boy who cried wolf, right?
That’s the more accurate allegory here.

So, a senile criminal leftist as pres and a known committed communist as VP, is crying wolf?

Whose side are you on, James?

Biden will be putting up a committed communist for VP.
AND more than likely he is being 'manipulated' into picking a VP the dems really want because the bottom line is if Biden were to become President the VP will in fact 'be' the President and will 'call the shots'

Biden is feckless, he is like a child. The dems will give him some 'toys' to play with and he will be content while the VP does the dirty work.

Fortunately however I do not believe he stands a chance at all. He has considerably less support than Hillary and the dems know this and are mostly just 'grabbing at straws'.

Boy Who Cried Wolf vs. Sky Is Falling.
Economic armageddon is coming to America. That wolf is going to eat us alive and leave a pile of socialist scat in its wake.

Here’s Doug Casey describing our current pickle, and why this election will be the most important since 1860 (I guess I’m not the only one who can connect these dots between then and now):

Well, with the current drunk spending on steroids, you'll get no argument from me. It's utterly appalling. Not to mention, imagine if the leftists got their dream spending bill by Trump.

But all that's thread drfit to the thread topic, let's stay on thread topic.
