A buddy of mine bought 500 cast 200 gr RNFP bullets last weekend and asked me to load them in 44 special cases, I have been looking for load data for Unique powder and can't find any. I'd hate to have to go buy a pound of powder of another type just for his bullets. I have 3 load books and none have recipes for Unique powder, not even the alliant website. Any ideas would be great. Lyman lists 5.0 grains start and 8.0 grains max for Unique in .44 Special with their 429215, a 215 grain SWC. You should be fine with that data and your 200 grain RNFP.

Alliant also lists 8.7 grains Unique as max (start load 10% reduction) with the RCBS #82307 a 200 grain RNFP in their Cowboy section.

I like 6grs of W231 (HP38). It's a good "walkin' round" load. Light recoil and very accurate.
