For sale is a nearly perfect 1977 Marlin 444. This is the pre-crossbolt safety model which is preferred by Marlin purists. Other than a few light scuffs in the buttstock this rifle is excellent! The front sight hood is still intact as the Marlin "bullseye" in the buttstock. The Luepold Vari-X III 1.5-5x20mm scope is mounted in Burris steel Zee rings attached to a Weaver base. A hammer extension is in place to operate the hammer with the scope installed. The scope has some scratches where a previous owner moved it in the rings without properly loosening them. But it is clear and bright and functions great.
