Inherited this lovely rifle from my father after his death. I was wondering the value of this rifle. It is in excellent shape, no rust, like new.

My condolences on your Father's passing............

That is a very nice rifle, with the very thin forearm that Marlin only made for about 3 or 4 years beginning in 1958, if I recall................

From the pictures, I'd say that's a $500 dollar rifle, with that thin forearm..............If it was a 35 Rem, it would be worth a bit more.

You won't find many rifles with that thin forearm, and the ones you can find will be in much lower condition.

My main concern would be if there was some discoloration on the but stock under that slip on recoil pad?, looks to be in very nice condition otherwise, but I agree, it would likely not have a price tag exceeding $500 on it around here.
