The 1950 39a I just purchased has the original finish. Looks blue in normal light, with a red mixed look under strong sunlight on the barrel, lever and tube. Not on the reciever. Is this normal aging of a finish of this type? And should I be concerned about rust under the wood. Note rifle has no scratches whatsoever on metal or wood. And check out this buttplate. Unmarked at all. Replacement?
