In re Bolt disassembly
- the needle nose thing is brilliant for removing the extractor
- I use a drill press vise and wrap the bolt with plastic from 12ga hulls...
- the front pin came out like butter- the pins are dowels as opposed to roll pins.
- the rear one is recalcitrant... Tapped on it & no go... Tapped a little more... And no, rolled it over and tried from the other direction, which sucks because of how it it ground to match the radius of the bolt... Gently heated the bolt and tried.. No go.. Let it cool and tried...called it everything but a child of God & no go... Let it cool and tried, reheated being extra careful to heat on either side of the pin so it, too, wouldn't expand... Any ideas?
- never heard of these being tapered.
