On my 1895 SDT I love the fiber optic sight , but at long range its way too big! Has anyone replaced their front sight , maybe with a brass bead or gold bead?

After the fiber optic on my SDT broke I put a brass sight from Skinner on it. Works great.

My Remlin STP came with the wrong sights on it, instead of fiber optics, it had standard sights on it. I also swapped out the glare producing nickeled front sight hood for a blue one. If not for the Micro SBL treatment that I gave it, I would have left the standard sights on it.

My STP works VERY well with the XS Lever rail, ghost ring, white stripe front sight.

I have the same configuration so it matches my SBL. I think it is the way to go. I find it very handy and flexible.
