Hello folks,

I just acquired a 2000 1895M. I've ordered replacement furniture for it, and have two questions.

1) Can the front forearm/furniture be removed without removal of the lever etc?
2) If so, how is the best way to remove the magazine? It is pretty stuck in place, and I the front wood just won't clear without dropping the magazine a bit. I removed the lower screw in the front, and cap, and the spring stays inside. I assume when the tube is drawn down, the spring will pop loose. I just don't want to damage anything. If I need to get a rubber glove on and gently work on it, that is the plan.

Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Here's how I do it:
1. Remove the screws from the front cap then slide forward.
2. Remove magazine cap screw and lift up on the magazine. The spring is compressed so be careful not to launch your magazine cap across the room.
3. Remove the magazine cap and spring
4. Pull the magazine away from the hangar and remove the forearm.
