Can anyone give me the barrel diameter at the receiver of a 1895 Marlin in 45/70? Have a single shot action that needs a barrel but can't find this dimension. Don't want it to be Nominal barrel size of 1.25", due to weight. Hope someone will help.

My spare barrel mics at .952 and the thread diameter is .775
