Does the 1894FG .41 Magnum have micro groove or Ballard type rifling? Any body have cast bullet mold suggestions for an FG? Regards Rod

Rod,
Both of mine are Micro-Grooved.
I would recommend slugging your bore and then looking at the Ranch Dog mold from NOE.

I have two CCL's (45 Colt and 32-20). All the "Cowboy" models are supposed to have Ballard rifling for shooting cast bullets.

I got the 41 Mag 1894ccl out to make sure about the rifling, it has 12 grooves just like the 1894s in 41 mag. The 1894cl in 25-20 has 6 groove and the 2002 1894pg also has 6 grove. The grooves in the 1894pg are so shallow it almost looks like a smoothbore.
