Do you guys know if the 1894c (.357 magnum) could safely handle +p+ extra hot loads, like from buffalobore.com?

Yes it can. The 1894C can shoot any commercially available .357 magnum ammunition.

Pressure specs for the 357 (and several other rounds) have been "moderated" over the years, factory ammo used to be noticeably hotter than most of the stuff you can buy now. But the guns are as strong as ever, if not better, and any off-the-shelf ammo you can buy is safe in your 1894. 8)

And PJ is probably THE resident expert in 1894Cs and the loads to use in them. Bet he's shot more rounds thru an 1894c than anyone else on this forum by at least a factor of 3 (or more). I love my 1894c and rely a lot on PJ's inputs. You're good to go as long as you don't try to cook up some stupid load that isn't listed in any reloading manual. Go shoot it and have fun. John
