What exactly is the difference between the 1894C and 1894CS .357 magnum leverguns? I see references to both online. Marlin only lists the C, not the CS, on their web page. Mine says 1894C on the carbine itself, but the manual says 1894CS.

Thanks for your help,
Bryan

Between the CS and C, not much. Only one I've noted is the front sights. My wife's CS has a dovetailed to the barrel front and the C's I've seen have a ramp type front sight with a hood............Buck 8)

Thanks for the responses. I would have asked Marlin directly, but apparently their means of customer communication are also from 1894.

I also believe they dropped the S part when they came out with the stainless 1894's to avoid confusion between the stainless and non-stainless guns..........Buck 8)
