In 2006 models they would be ballard rifiling correct?
Just have not seen any later models for sale and it did not occur to me that it did not say micro-groove on the barrel.

It should have Ballard type rifling.

They went to "Ballard" rifling in the '90s to cut the squawks from the cowboy shooter crowd. If you can count to 6, that's the number of grooves it will have. The increase in land height is invisible to the naked eye, a matter of a couple of thousandths.

Right. I've read elsewhere that it's not any more accurate, but allegedly results in less leading when shooting cast bullets. I cannot vouch for this since I mostly shoot jacketed bullets myself.

and the 2014 1894s models have Ballard as well, and the barrel does not state it either.
