The 16" LTD's and the Cowboy Limited's are cut rifling (ballard) to the best of my knowledge.

Was the 357 limited 24in barrel micro-groove or ballared?
If you have one just look at business end and see if it has a bunch of grooves ( 8 to 10) then it's Microgroove and 4 to 6 will be Ballard.

Not sure of exact numbers of grooves for each kind in various calibers, but the Mico will really look different.

The 1894 .357CBL is a Ballard groove cut. I have 3 CBLs in 24" and one in 20" and they are all Ballard. Generally the micro groove barrels say that on the barrel. I think my 39A says so on side of barrel. I can't look at it right now because I am away from home, but pretty sure.

That's right I have never seen one that was a Microgroove and not stamped on the barrel.
