Welcome from Alabama...

The serial # information between 1907 and 1940 has been lost to the sands of time... The 1893 was made between 1893 and 1936... So sometime between 1907 and 1936... A full set of pics can help the 1893 experts around here to pin it down better...

The D prefix on tang forward of trigger, near forearm would be 1915-17. The old numbers went up to around 455000 that ended 1914-15, the available records ending around 355000 in 1906. They stopped making sporting arms during war and resumed 1919 and that's when they dropped the 18 in the model number for the 1893, they did it earlier on the other models 92, 94, 97
