Dear Friends and Fellow Patriots,

We wanted to reach out to you during these worrisome times, because now more than ever, it is important to remain connected. We hope you are all well and bearing up under the strain that this unprecedented pandemic response has created.

As we watch events unfold, it seems this crisis couldn't have come at a worse time. A strong economy has been brought to its knees (though we can be thankful that it was strong going in). Far worse, a nation already so divided along ideological lines now has a fresh reason to literally stand apart, and that is the most worrisome thing of all. It's not that we can't handle standing six feet apart, it's that new fault lines of fear are marooning us at far greater distances.

Against this backdrop, record gun sales are not surprising, but I pray that as we clean and oil our weapons, we do not neglect the real mechanisms of our nation's strength.

When we encounter fear, let courage and compassion be the first weapons we reach for.
Let us show strength through solidarity and fortitude.
Let us pray for patience, and the will to fight frustration with good humor.
Let us remember that toilet paper does, in fact, grow on trees.
Let us count our blessings, and not just our ammunition.
In the face of uncertainty, let us seek to understand, not through inflammatory headlines, but sound reason.
Let us remember the value of what we have built in the past, and find in ourselves the passion and ingenuity to rebuild it even better in the future.

Our best to you, our friends and fellow patriots. Be well. Be strong. God bless.

Actually, the economy was not strong at all, falsely raised to and supported by leverage, stock buy backs, shadow banking and tax cuts, which we all have now bailed out at a cost $18,000 per citizen in return for $1200 checks . Otherwise the points are appreciated.

Yes, and I've been eyeballing our neighbors trees full of new tender bright green leaves that are just the right size. :flute:

Great post, Adam and Kim, we trust we will prevail one way of the other. We're fortunate that the wife and youngest daughter have essential jobs that help maintain not only our income, but folks essential needs. And not live in CA's greater metro areas. Whew! A lot less insane up here in the Sierra foothills.

God bless, we will get through this and we definitely have the right president to rebuild our economy!

Adam very well put. We got through WW2 (all sides) and with the same spirit we will get through this. Our government asked for 250.000 volunteers for the health service, within days they had 750,000. God bless you and yours and stay safe, Gareth.
It's awful that so many seem ready to take advantage of a bad situation, but it's reassuring when so many more step up to do the heroic thing.
