I am getting ready to purchase a synthetic stocked XS7 in .308. I want to replace the plastic trigger guard with the metal one from Marlin. Could someone please post a tutorial on how to do this? I know that drilling is required and I dont want to screw my stock up. Thanks.
Not exactly new in here. I've been haunting this forum for some time, but this is my first post. I'm sure it won't be my last. I have figured out, this is one of the go to forum's for good info on the XS, XL series gun's.
I've read about the replacement trigger guards for the XS7, but still...
The 700 guard is the right width but about 1/16 inch short. Since the front screw is a wood screw, it would be very easy to make a change with epoxy. Just fill the old hole and front gap, then drill a new pilot hole.
Picture will open larger.
