It also has some Numbering in the stock as well that seem pretty cool. This is a family gun, where it was originally obtained you would have to ask my Grandfather.
I have a .22 LR that I need to identify. It was purchased around 1970. It is similar to the model 60 but shorter and has a m1 carbine look to it. The action is the same as the Model 60 but it is shorter and holds fewer rounds. I can post a photo if needed.
I have a chance to purchase this rifle but I can't seem to pin down what it's worth. Can anyone tell me what model it is? The barrel is stamped "The Marlin Firearms Corporation New Haven, Conn. U.S.A. -Patented-", no model number present. It is chambered for .22 S-L-LR.
