I was wondering what is the value of my 1948 Marlin RC JM 30/30 E161xx is?

I just picked up a 336c compact, but I have noticed that there’s a burr/gouge inside the receiver. Any tips on how to fix this? Think this is something I can fix myself or is this something I should have Marlin handle? Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks!
