  1. Burr inside 336c receiver

    336
I just picked up a 336c compact, but I have noticed that there’s a burr/gouge inside the receiver. Any tips on how to fix this? Think this is something I can fix myself or is this something I should have Marlin handle? Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks!

  8. Stiff loading port.

    336
Hey guys, I am new to the forum and a new Marlin owner. I recently purchased a 336 SS and cannot believe how stiff the loading port is! It is almost painful to insert the bullets into the tube magazine. I am hoping there is a way to reduce the pressure on the shield. I'm sure this is a...

    336
Ok guys...I'm not sure if this has been done or not so if it has I apologize but I'm completely open to someone sending threads for me to go read... 12. What to look for when buying a Marlin before the buyout.

    336
Hello, I'm looking at buying my very first Marlin! I've decided to go with the Marlin 336 in 30-30. While doing some research I've found that the quality of the Marlin line went down after the buyout to Remington, so I wanna buy one made before the buyout. I'd like to know what...
  13. Value and Collectibility of Newer 336SS

    336
I have the opportunity to purchase a 336SS. I know personally the seller, and have known him since he purchased the gun. I remember when he bought it. It would have been in the late 2000's. It is most certainly a North Haven gun with the JM stamp. He has the box and all the papers, and states...

  16. Forearm Stock Cap

    336
So how hard is it going to be to find one of these for my Octagon 30-30. I am half tempted to buy one of these and retro fit. After doing a lot of reading in here. One of a bowed Mag tube. I realized mine was also. And I like a sling. And would like to make it right. As for proper Marlin rear...
  17. Wally World

    336
Was in looking for some 30 cal. cleaning patches, as bi-mart didn't have much of anything left. Shelves were pretty much wiped. Wally had some but I didn't care for the price. Looked at ammo. They had a little, small boxes of 22lr, 30-30s-$16 and $26 Win. boxes only about six boxes total. While...
