A buddy of mine bought this a few years ago because he saw one in a movie. The luster of it wore off and he called me the other day and asked if I wanted it. 1998 336 30-30, very clean, he included 19 rounds of Hornady Zombie rounds. (He shot one round) but, $500 was a great price to me.

Hey folks, I've been admiring the 336 for a while now, and stumbled across a 30-30 for a decent deal so i jumped on it. Just wondering how I can find out more info/details about it. It's JM stamped and the SN is K13XXX. Its definitely not in perfect shape but pretty good all things considered...

I bought this Marlin new when I was 16 in 1963. It's been fired less than a dozen times including 1 buck. It's pretty much perfect but needs new pads? I guess they didn't hold up in storage. So, same old question. What is the current value? And best online sale site? Thanks in advance.

I just picked up a 336c compact, but I have noticed that there’s a burr/gouge inside the receiver. Any tips on how to fix this? Think this is something I can fix myself or is this something I should have Marlin handle? Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks!

The first rifle I ever bought new was a Marlin 336 in 30/30 sometime in the early/mid '80s. It tokk a couple of deer over a couple/three seasons in SC where I lived at the time, deployments and other military fun took over life, sometime in the late '80s I sold the rifle, never really thought...

Hey guys, I am new to the forum and a new Marlin owner. I recently purchased a 336 SS and cannot believe how stiff the loading port is! It is almost painful to insert the bullets into the tube magazine. I am hoping there is a way to reduce the pressure on the shield. I'm sure this is a...

Hello again friends, Some of you may have noticed that I haven’t emerged from my rabbit hole much lately. It’s been a busy, busy year, and it’s only speeding up as the fall hunting season looms on the horizon. To that end, my efforts lately have been focused on developing some exciting new...

In preparation for attending the four day practical rifle course at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada with my Marlin 336, in 30-30, I have changed out the laminate wood stock and forearmfor black synthetic ones made by Champion. These dropped the overall weight of the...

Ok guys...I'm not sure if this has been done or not so if it has I apologize but I'm completely open to someone sending threads for me to go read... Hello, I'm looking at buying my very first Marlin! I've decided to go with the Marlin 336 in 30-30. While doing some research I've found that the quality of the Marlin line went down after the buyout to Remington, so I wanna buy one made before the buyout. I'd like to know what...

I have the opportunity to purchase a 336SS. I know personally the seller, and have known him since he purchased the gun. I remember when he bought it. It would have been in the late 2000's. It is most certainly a North Haven gun with the JM stamp. He has the box and all the papers, and states...
