I really like this time of the year because of the baby animals. I saw the cutest little all white newborn filly in my neighbor's pasture this morning. In another few weeks we'll have moose cubs and bear calves running around although the cutest ones are baby foxes.

Retro, moose are really mean especially when they are protecting their young which is something my dog discovered this winter.

I could get the little white filly and in a way I would love to; I grew up with horses. But--the winter conditions here are so harsh that unless you have an indoor arena you can't work with a young horse the way you need to be able to.

Aha! Bear calves must be where that grizzly veal comes from.
