An Old Geezers Tips for daily living.

Tip 1. Do you button and unbutton your shirts. If you do may I ask why? I have been pulling them on like a tee shirt for decades.

Tip 2. When you remove your trousers to put them in the wash, leave them zipped up and fastened. This saves wear and tear in the wash.

Tip 3. Daily shoes, I wear mostly the low type lace ups. I do however lace em up loosely and double knot the bows so the are essentially a slip on shoe. If I'm going to do any climbing like as a ladder or such I lace them tight.

I ask you to share yours.

    5. Go ahead and buy the highest qualty and most expensive thing you can afford as you will have it the rest of your life. The cheap stuff will break as soon as the warantee expires.

    6. When you are not sure what to order at a resturant have he waitress pick out sething but not tell you what it is. I eat a lot of good meals this way I would otherwise never order.

    7. If your not hungry ask the wife if she will split a plate with you. Chances are there is more food on one plate than the two of you can eat anyway.

    8. Bring home flowers more often. Not as part of a grocery trip but by themselves. It matters. Hand written letters matter also.

    9. Keep tools, water, a bit of food and medicine in the truck.

    10. Drink lots of water. A gallon a day if you can. It will keep you healthy.

    11. Learn to whittle. You might need a peg and the wife will brag on your handmade wooden spoon to her friends.

    12. Plant a garden. Even if its just two tomato plants men need to grow, tend things and harvest

    13. Remember all those things that you wish you'd asked your father and grandfather but had to learn yourself? Tell as much as they'll take to your grandkids before you forget it all!

    14. Keep in mind that the only important thing you can leave behind is memories.

    18. Warm home cooked soup on a cold night is better than dinner out.

    19. If you drink Keep several different kinds of whiskey or smoke, cigars on hand. It's good to have a selection.

    20. Buy that big TV and watch movies at home. Westerns translate better on a TV and the pause button beats missing part of a movie in a theater.
