    Hello

New member just saying hello. My name is Jeff Smith. I am also a long time member of several knife forums including blade forums same user name there. I use u812 or J Smith on most. I live in East Tn and work as an animal control officer.I just got an 1895 gs and have found myself reading posts on this site a lot. I am sure I will fire up some stuff on see through mounts, think they are a good idea but I have not seen a set that I think work well yet.
Here’s a shot of my Marlin. Had one several years ago and traded it. Took this long to find another. The figure in the walnut on this one is amazing. Sling is hand tied by me. Been tying paracord stuff for years. Still torn to as to scope it or not.
Anyway I think it is good for a new member to say hi, thanks for adding me to your community.

It is factory. This looks like presentation grade that wasn’t finished out all the way.
