    Hello From Wisconsin

Just wanted to hi to all of you Marlin owners. I purchased a 308 Express XLR last year and just three weeks ago I purchased my second Marlin, a 45/70 XLR. I owned and hunted with a Winchester Model 94 for many years and took a good number of deer with that rifle but with old age setting in I needed a lever action that I could mount a scope on and to tell you the truth I just needed an excuse to buy a Marlin.

I have done a lot of reading on this site about the various Marlins and how great a gun they are. I will be taking my 308 Express out to WY on an antelope this fall and will try out my 45/70 on whitetail here in November. In the meantime I will be going to the range to get some shooting, when the weather warms up and the snow starts to leave us.

Keep the great stories coming and the great advice that I have read so far.

Seabee74 - I was in the Seabees in MCB74 for two tours of Vietnam.

Welcome from west central Wisconsin. This is a addicting place. I too am waiting for it to warm up a bit to do some shooting. Maybe this weekend. My daughter started hunter safety this week so need to take her out with me.
