Final Flight, Directly Into Enemy Fire: Maj. Louis Sebille

FINAL FLIGHT: USAF Pilot Korean War Maj. Louis Sebille, "I'll never be able to make it back. I'm going back to get that....." Sebille flew his jet – still armed with a 500-pound bomb – directly into several enemy gun batteries.

A very brave and galant warrior, RIP. I can't believe it took the USAF eighteen years for them to adopt their own MoH Medal.

Thank you Major Sebille for your sacrifice. You knew you'd not make it back so you made it count by taking out guns you knew your brothers would face in the future.

It is soldiers/airmen/sailors and Marines like this that keep us free. Several examples of this heroism through our nation's history; Major Sebille is but one of them. Heroes all!
