Wish I had a pick of the old crank start Cat 10 that I used to disk our orange grove. It was a real little beast. My Dad owned it for 25 years and it never broke down.

A couple of years ago, I told Mrs Willy that I was thinking about getting some kind of smallish tractor to use around the place here. I was thinking Kubota, but she asked what would it take to get her Grandaddy's old Farmall Cub going which had been sitting in the back of the shop for several years. Long story short, after getting it running again, I've been using it for pulling a utility trailer, hauling tools on a cargo rack I built to go on the 3 point hitch I also built for it and using a blade made for an ATV underneath to shove snow around when we get enough of it to push. Sure beats shoveling the stuff out of the driveway.

    great thread!!!

I need to get some pics of my tractors and get them posted. right now I have a JD 2010 1963 that is broke down, a Massey Ferguson 165 1965 or so broke down and my main tractor right now is a John Deere 310 SG backhoe. I am looking at getting a used JD utulity tractor this winter and get rid of the two that are broke down. I can't find anyone who wants to repair them for me.

tractors are a real necessity and loads of fun.

Use the backhoe attachment to straighten it out.
