Look who showed up for breakfast

Sitting in the deer stand this morning and these guys showed up. My neighbor is having some timber cut so that is where they came from, I wish South Carolina had a fall season for turkeys. All gobblers, no hen's and they all had 6-8 inch beards. 20191122_073507.jpg20191122_073408.jpg

Love sitting on stand and watching the wildlife pass by, especially turkeys. Our Fall season is an archery season that coincides with archery deer season. Good luck today.

Driving up 77 yesterday in VA, I passed a field with a flock of at least 40 turkeys. They were eating seeds from pumpkins left in the field. Big, big flock.

That's living right there! Nothing better than setting watching the wild life. On the other hand it would have been nice if you could have bagged one!

VA is the same way. Dang shame the VDGIF puts out a BOOK on hunting and restricts to death something they don't even take or have a part in!

We do have a fall season here for Turkey and there are a lot of them in this area. I see them just about everyday in the fields or on the side of the road or on my property next to the house.

Nice pictures Ninja. Here in Virginia turkey season is closed for a while so the bird are out again. The woods are all scratched up and the wife saw 21 in the yard the other day. Maybe I should stay home.

Nice looking birds. Even better with a side of stuffing and cranberry sauce.

    Lightbulb

I was talking to a few members of my American Legion post this afternoon, and several guys and gals are headed to Camp this weekend. Tomorrow starts Bear season, and Deer season starts next week. Its an annual event in North Central PA and everyone is excited.

Some of the Hunters stay at camp all week. Not all of them Hunt, some just play cards, gamble, but all of them have a beer or 7 or 8.

It amazes me that they still take game legally and don't have any accidents. What are the odds of that?
