    Spring Success!

    Killed this bird this morning in Highland County OH (30 yards from where I shot the buck in my avatar pic). Now, I know one doesn’t NEED to shoot a 3.5” 12 gauge shell to kill a turkey - but it sure does whack ‘em!

    The shotgun is a Mossberg Ulti-Mag I bought back in 1992. Have killed a few pheasants with it in Iowa and South Dakota, and a smattering of waterfowl, but the primary use is turkey.

    I had an 835 just like that one, it patterned great. It went down the road when I started shooting a 20 gauge.
