    My father got his bird

I got a text from my mother this morning that my dad had gotten his turkey. My father isn't really much of a turkey hunter, though I think it's growing on him, as this was his second ever. He said it took about 45 min to call him in.

According to my mother it was 25lbs with a 9.5in beard. He was using an old Winchester Model 50 that I bought about 15yrs ago.

Struttin' here on the place until 2 days before season. Seen and heard nothing but hens since then. Maybe my neighbors opened season a little early.
