    1973/74?

Old photo of me, high school days, shooting in an archery tournament in California. Came across it recently and thought I'd share:

Bow is a Hoyt Pro-Medalist, #34, 66" and I've still got it! It still shoots just fine too, though I'm not as practiced as I was in those days.

That wheeled bow poking in the picture has to be one of the first compounds.

Nice memory. It had to be California with the hat and the Ford Ranchero ? in the background.

Awesome photo, thanks for sharing. I wish old images didn't lose their color and clarity. At least memories often tend to improve with time, everything is usually better than it actually was.

Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Must have been some long range shooting too, by the angle of the shaft! Nice form! One over/two under, same way I was taught, and still shoot. I had one of those bows briefly back in the late 90's, but someone wanted it a lot more than I did, and I sold it.

Is that a "California" girl watching you! Looks like "they" are wearing a "breast protector". Really neat photo either way. Thanks for posting it! I wish I still had all of the recurves I used to own.
