    Most spinning reels twist line with a lot of casting, which is why I use bait casters a lot for bass and northern. But I also like spinning reels due to the fact that they are more secure to hole and have a fantastic drag. For the UL is use ice fishing spinning reels a lot. Don't hold much line but they are light weight and fit the rods well. 4-6 pound line as weeds and fish go together and I don't like to lose a lot of tackle. The spinning bail on a spinning reel twist line with a lot of casting, be interesting to see how they avoid that.

    Emailed Matt. From Matt's rod and reel service & parts.
    About an hr ago, and he said he would be glad to go true my reels and check them out.
    So i told him i will let him know when i ship them out.
    Waiting on the reel from ebay.

    My penn 209 was waiting for me to get home.
    Looks like it's in good shape. No saltwater use.
    It's all boxed up with my 309, and i will ship it out to Matt's

    What is his normal turn around time ?
    I emailed him about a week after he should have received them, didn't get response.
