You know you're getting old when your back goes out more than you do.

Do you exercise? Unless you have discs out of place, a twisted spin or another diagnosed physical deficiency, the best thing you can do is lower back exercises. Lay on the floor and lift each leg one at a time straight up as far as it will go toward your face. Hold it there for at least 10 seconds then do the other leg. Do that every morning. The best exercise is get out and walk every morning. I stretch my calves and hamstrings before I go for a walk. Even walking a half an hour at a good pace (not a stroll, a hike) is beneficial.

Sitting on the couch will kill you!

When..Saturday mornings when you were a young nub was cartoons. In particular, Looney Tunes. I gathered much wisdom from the words of Foghorn Leghorn. Always hoped the Coyote would catch that smartass Roadrunner. Now that I'm retired, I watch the old Looney Tunes reruns on the Cartoon Network. The ones done with cels in the old days are so much better than this new computer generated crap. So far the Coyote still has not succeeded, Aaaaargh!

Y'know, one of the secrets to getting old is learning to work smarter.

When you wake up one morning and feel no pain anywhere in your body- you will be dead.
