My little dog likes to get under the cover when my wife goes to bed, but it doesn't take her long to come out when I get in the bed. She would rather be cold than to stay under the cover.
I am on CPAP, so gas in bed doesn't affect me, I hear it, but that's it. The machine sets on the floor beside the bed, one night our Basset settled down on my side and cut loose, I about choked!

Well, I know I am old, the meds, the aches, having to take half a viagra everyday just to keep from peeing in my slippers.

That's it. It's all over. You might as well lay down in the hole and pull the dirt in on yourself.

I make it easy for myself. All my rifle are in Pelican cases. In the cases are the tools, mags and cleaning kits for that rifles or pistols. I carry the ammo in another bag with the spotting scope and targets. When I was younger I must have walk to the car 10 times to get all the same stuff. So getting older also make you work smarter.

You know you're getting old when you wake up with a new ache or pain. It's like you injured yourself while sleeping. Last Sunday I woke up with a giant pain in my right knee, upper inside tendon, the MCL. A little swelling, but mostly just real sore. It hurt so bad I couldn't drive because I couldn't work the brake. Hurt too much. I was screwed up.
I felt the area, no torn ligament, just strained. I must have done it in my sleep when kicking the covers off, getting up to pee at 2:30AM. It's now 9 days later and healing nicely, pain going away. It really hurt for the first 5-6 days. That's how you know you're getting old, when you have to do warmup exercises to sleep.

    Haha!

I know I am getting old cause the number on my birthday cards keeps goin up.

Also, my wife is about ten years younger than I am (Got married early 30s). Been married over thrity years and it never noticed, till recently. Is she keepin me younger, or makin me feel older? You guessed. Life eh? Barrel of laughs.

I once went into an antiquarian bookshop and found a book written by a friend. True.
