Ok, I thought the 30’s were plain stock and then checkering on the 30A.

The 1965/1966 to 1968/1969 Glenny Mod 30s had a plain stock until going to a pressed checkered stock sometime during 1969/1970.

Awesome, thanks for the detailed info. Looks like I have a few more to find. I’m trying to get all of the store brand Marlin levers. So far I have 3 30A’s , 2 westernfield, 2 Revelation, 3 Glenfield 36, Sears 45. And a few regular old 336’s lol

BTW--the Glenfield was not a store brand Marlin--just a lower priced Marlin (under another name) available at numerous outlets back in the day. You also need to get the Westpoint Model 33--the only pistol grip Marlin (store brand) with a brass saddle ring.

Is it possible to get a close up of the barrel markings of that Westpoint model 33?
