Sorry if this should be in the rimfire section, please move if needed.

I just picked up a Glenfield 25 that I was going to keep for myself but decided to use it as an heirloom piece for my grandaughter. I want to keep the original birch stock as the condition is very good, so I am searching for a replacement.

In looking at pictures of stocks that are available on ebay, armlist, etc I see that there are two different cut outs for the bolt handle.

Mine has what I would call a "half round" cut out and most I see available have a "square" cut out.

In searching 25N stocks they look similar with the "square" bolt cut out.

What exactly are the differences in stock fitment between the Glenfield 25 and the 25N?

Did any of the model 25's ever come with a metal trigger guard?
