Well, it is 1981 and considered more accurate because of the endcap not putting pressure on the barrel like a band does... No experience with the sight...
There is a 30-30 Glenfield 30A at a local shop. The serial is 19031xxx. This has a 20 inch barrel with full length magazine tube, but has a fore end cap with no band on the fore end.
1. What year is this made?
2. This has a barrel mounted sight with no ramp. Is the factory front sight compatible with a Williams Foolproof Receiver sight?

I guess I should check other than the "Active Topics" once in awhile.
It is hard to say if my Glenfield's front sight is original or not, but it works absolutely great with my Williams 36 Foolproof! The Williams rear is up about 1/16" off of the receiver with a 50 yard zero.
