    Marlin 25 gun show find

Found this JM stamped 25 at a gun show yesterday; serial numbers put it at 1986 production. Other than a little surface rust on the barrel, and some stock finish wear, it’s in great shape. Seller was asking $150, but I got it for $110

Stuck a cheap Barska rimfire scope on it this morning, and went shooting. This rifle will drive nails! At 50 yards I was shooting staples off the target backboard. I’m planning on installing a MCARBO spring kit for the trigger, and a better scope when funds allow. Suggestions for a rim fire scope will be welcomed.

All 25's are JM. Bought dad one for Christmas a while back complete with a Marlin branded scope. I like that it shoots S, L, and LR because his has the older style magazine. It's very accurate. Good job.

I have owned mine since 1983. I have a Bushnell Sportview 4X on it. I think I installed that in 1988. It's a great scope for this rifle and it won't break the bank to find one used at a gun show.

Nice find and at a good price, I to own one and also the 22 mag version.
Both good shooters, and yes the trigger could be better.

I had a really nice 25, lost it in a divorce. I really miss that rifle. Some chicks know how to hurt a guy.

Welcome from South Carolina. I have one and , yes, they are tack drivers. I paid a bit more for mine, but it was NIB. Mine loves CCI mini mags.
