    New to me Marlin 25

Long story short, I was given by my dad when I was about 12 a Marlin Glenfield 25. I had it for years then sold it. I have regretted that decision for a looooong time.

I finally found and purchased one yesterday. I have waited until I found one with the right color stock, front sight style, and condition that matched the condition of the one I sold.

It should be delivered to my FFL late next week. Is there anything mechanically and or safety related I should look for?

They are pretty simple rifles. Just clean it good and then shoot it. Mine and most are very accurate rifles and shoot very well. Post pictures of your when you get it. I saw earlier today someone had a after market stock for a model 25 for sale on here.

    PARRR,
Good luck with your new acquisition.
    I too have a JM model 25 .22. I put a 3x9x40 scope on it.
7,10 and 15 round magazines are available for this excellent rifle.
I bought the 25 for hunting and target use and it has been just fine.
My Grandkids LOVE hitting what they are aiming at; so does Grandpap.

Welcome, i would say empty shell boxes is what you should look for.

What this country needs is a department of common sense! The tree of liberty would be a great place for hang mans ropes!

    Welcome.

Bought my dad a 25 with a Marlin scope. VERY accurate on squirrels up to about 75 yards.
