    Marlin Crown Prince

Saw a Marlin Crown Prince today, never seen nor heard of one before. Blueing was a little worn but not rusty. Chrome bolt handle was shiny. Walnut stock had a few dings and the bullseye was intact. The "scrolling" in the stock was deep and even on both sides.
As I said, never heard of a Crown Prince before, so, after a quick Google search I found that they were made in 1959, and only 1959. A total of 7166 made.
Was I crazy for walking out without it?
Oh yeah, they were asking $149.99.

I would have given that for it simply because I don't have (or need) one!

I would have snapped it up, if for no other reason than its my birth year. In reality I don't even need an excuse to buy a old marlin

If you decide not to buy it PM me the location, if its close enough to me I may pursue it.

Yep, I would say you’ve lost your grip on reality.

I have talked myself out of going back, so PM has been sent.

Interstate road trip for a Marlin... Marlinitis? Dedication? Is there a difference?
