    Aguila SSS

Has anyone tried these or the new CCI quiet rounds for semiautomatics? I've heard the SSS rounds need a faster twist than 1:16 to stabilize, but I don't know the twist rate for the Model 60s I have.

cci quiets ive found to be very accurate but will not cycle action in my model 60. volquartsen makes cci quiet parts for 10-22, its not a cheap conversion

Hi - Just a note here - I saw recently that MCarbo has 'sub-sonic' recoil springs for 60 & 795. I haven't used one to give an opinion - I don't plan to go with 'subs'either.

The Quiets are very accurate in my CZ 452. They hit a full 6 inches low at 50 yards from my high speed zero. With the long barrel, they are very quiet.

Both my 60s are wonderfully accurate. One wears a scope, the other has Tech Sites, which I can recommend without any qualms. If the Aguila or CCI Quiet semiautomatic rounds will cycle it, I'd like to set it up for that exclusively. I had a first time shooter holding 0.75" groups at 50 yards with it. I had forgotten about the MCARBO springs. I think I'm going to do a bulk order of 22 and will add a box of the Quiet semiautomatic and for fun a box of Greentag to see what the scoped version will do with those. If the iron sighted one works at all with the Quiet-SA, I may try the subsonic springs to see if it improves. It would be a bonus if they work in my Victory pistol too.

I do not believe that is so. I use to shoot CB caps. they had almost no sound and was low speed and deadly accurate. I lived in a town for a couple of years in the 80s and shot squirrels with them and a rabbit. they will kill just fine,,,,,,,,,,,
I have never harvested an animal but I have KILLED QUITE A FEW !

I would rather have a gun in my hand than a cop on the phone,,,,,,,,,
