    Question Marlin 60SS Pricing

As a relative newb, I am confused on pricing differences on this model. Already have a 1985 M60, but looking to add a SS with hardwood stock to my limited collection.

On-line I see new at $229.00 and up with laminate stock.

Today, while buying ammo at my local WalMart, this model was at $179 (with a cheap scope) and hardwood stock.

How can the brick and mortar store beat on-line sellers so significantly?

Wally buy buy the train load, that what I was told. Buy that one, the saving you can buy ammo with.

Believe it or not, wally world is the NUMBER ONE gun retailer in the nation. Like mentioned they buy in huge bulk and sell for short profits to sell many. Buy it, heck of a deal.

That one sells at my local Walmart rolled back to $197 now. The blue version minus the cheap scope is $157.

ive considered buying one purely as an experiment, to compare the new ones with my old.

I just bought a Henry Standard Classic. Just wanted to try a lever action before I do the 10-22 thing. Should be fun.
