I have to confess, I got tired of no response from DIP, I found the mount elsewhere and used priority mail to get this rifle finished up. My plans are to maybe upgrade the scope at a later date, but this older 3-9X40 Bushnell really isn't bad at all..... That said, LOVE the DIP mount! and I want to THANK ALL the folks here that recommended it, you are all awesome! ....here is the result:

Finally got a deal on a scope to finish this firearm. Special thanks to you all that responded to this thread. It's greatly appreciated. Here is a final picture for you. The scope of choice is now a Nikon Prostaff V in 4-12x40 I'm pretty happy with it.

Looks nice, what year is your rifle? My 883 isn't drilled and tapped 🤔

Mine has quite a few years on it. It's an original JM that I special ordered back in the early 90s. It's a safe queen that gets to the range once in a while. When I was a kid the 22mag was "the gun to have" and I couldn't ever afford one. Later down the road I decided to catch up with that childhood dream and ordered this one. I've been working on it a little here and there for years. I installed a Rifle Basix 1.5lb trigger, I finished the stock, added a better scope base, leupold rings, and finally the Nikon 4-12x40 just yesterday. It's quite a shooter to be honest, very enjoyable to shoot groups with. The pic is a 10 shot group at 100.
