Cool My Homestead Defense 1894 CST

Hey guys! This is my newest build. It's still a work in progress, but this is it so far.

It will be used a a ranch rifle to handle coyote, black bear if they wander too close, 2 legged intruders, and the occasional copperhead.

    Gun: Marlin 1894 CST

    Upgrades thus-far:
Ranger Point Precision - Medium Loop Lever, Trigger Kit, Loading Gate, Follower
    Midwest Industries Handguard
HopticUSA LongBow Quiver for 6 additional rounds of .357 magnum

You can watch the transformation on our YouTube channel - Wolf's Prairie Outdoors.
This is a link to the 1894 CST Playlist. I will add the rest of the build videos as I get them edited. Currently there's the initial shooting video and the lever installation.

How do you like the "cartridge quivers" compared to loops on a butt cuff?
I have have wondered about those since the first time I saw them.

I really like it! We have a VERY humid and wet environment so leather tends to retain moisture and can corrode the brass.

The aluminum quiver doesn't have that issue. Additionally, it's a rock solid mount that's not going anywhere.

For it's intended use, I wouldn't have it any other way.

HOWEVER, I do love the look and feel of a leather butt cuff on a classic lever action. It just wasn't fitting for this setup.

Check out Hoptic USA, they have some awesome quivers for tons of calibers!
