    TC Compass 223 suppressed

    This forum seems kinda dead.

    Just finished up new addition.

223 Compass bought for dirt thanks to rebate. Off to LRI to get whacked to 16.1", threaded and GEMTECH brake/quick lock installed.

Added GEMTECH ONE and Nikon 223 scope in Burris rings.

Nice rig, subs are air rifle quiet.

You are correct there is not a lot of traffic in this area. That is a cool project, who did the machine work?

That is good to know, thanks for sharing the link. I have used Class 3 Machining for several projects and have always been happy with them but it is always good to have another source should the need arise.

You mentioned in your other thread using Trail Boss in your subsonic loads, have you tried any other powders? I have put this on the back burner but want to work up a subsonic 223 load that will cycle the action on my SBR.

Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Nope, everyone on the AR 15 site seems to like TB and it works fine. Also bulky hence safe.

Tried some 223 loads yesterday. My handloads with 7 gr of TB are quite a bit louder than commercial subsonics. AR15 forum said 4-8 gr of TB. So more testing in order.
