It’s open here too, but it has rained so much, most of my favorite areas are flooded or are soon to be flooded. I am going to have to change my game plan and try some new areas. The first spot I tried, struck out. But, I will find them somewhere.

our squirrels gets "wools" under the hide that looks like tumors, real nasty! they are caused by bot fly larvae. squirrels with them are not eatable until after the first frost here. our season starts oct 15th I think,,,,,,,,

I have seen a few here with the same thing. But I have never shot one that had that. They are only under the first layer of the skin, and are not supposed to hurt that meat. That being said, if I did shoot one, and it had it, I think I will pass on eating it!!!!

Same thing here in Florida. That's probably why our small game season is after General Gun..........

Actually it's a youth edition .22 I like how light and small it is. I put a small scope on it and the little Henry can pop um in the head all day...👍🏼
