Skinner Sight for my Big Bore 94?

    I have Winchester 94 XTR in 356.
Came with a Scope and Iron Sighter rings which I removed immediately upon receiving the rifle.
Still have them, but I find the scope and months to be terminally ugly so I really don't want to use them.
I'm getting old so the factory sights are getting fuzzy,so I am contemplating a receiver sight for this rifle.
In any case, I am looking at Skinner and XS sights.
Any comments pro or con would be appreciated.
I guess I should add that if anyone here has a set of rings for the above rifle,I would be interested.

I use Skinners and they do me fine. I am currently trying to work out how to fit another set to another rifle, a bolt gun.

I love the Skinner sights on my Marlins. For the Winchester 94's I prefer the Williams FP sight. It offers the most adjustments but either way you may find yourself needing a taller front sight as well.

Dalton, is your rifle top eject? The XTRs made before 1983 are. The Big Bore AE (angle eject) allows mounting a scope over the receiver. The pre-1983 XTR (top eject) does not. Just curious as it came with a scope & mounts. Is the mount a side mount to provide clearance above the receiver?

Its an XTR AE. Had a Simmons White Tail on it in Holden Ironsighter Mounts
The Scope was Too Big, and Mounted too high, at least for my tastes.

If I don't go with a receiver sight, Ill probably add a short low power scope.
Something similar to this Vintage Kollmorgan

I am leaning towards the peep sights.
The receiver is already tapped, so sights or scope is just a matter of some mounting work either way.
I tend to like simplicity and clean lines, and in that regard the XS sight appeals to me.
    Anyone tried one?
I can change the front sight as well with no problem, as I am well equipped for gunsmithing.
I'm looking at this sight set from XS.

I decided to go with the Skinner sights.
They just look better to me than the XS Ghost ring, and supposedly allow for the use of my original front sight, which I rather like.
Hopefully I will be able to use them, as my vision is not what it once was.
If they wont do, I suppose I will just opt for a Leupold VXR PigPlex scope.
