    Fitting a front sight

My new Skinner front sight needs to be filed some to get it to fit. Do I just file a little here and there untill it slides into place, or is there a specific place to file to get it to work.?
    Thanks for any advice.

Using a small triangular file, file a little at a time on the dovetail until you can just start it by hand. Go slow. If by chance you file more than you should let me know and I will send you a new one.
