    Marlin Model of 1898 I think. I saw one for auction here a couple of months ago, but wasn't sure what I could fire from it. Pretty mild stuff I imagine. I cant recall but maybe a 2.5" chamber?

    Cant see the bolt from the side in the pics. Should be a screw in the middle of the side with a locking screw alongside. I cant date it, but would guess around 100 yrs. So you might want to get it checked by a gunsmith before shooting it.
