I have a 12 gauge Model 90 (J. C. Higgins) that is one of my favorite shotguns.

    I found a 16 ga. What is a reasonable price considering maybe 70%+ condition<img src="https://www.marlinowners.com/forum/images/smilies/huh.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Huh?" class="inlineimg" />

    I really love a 16 gauge!!

I've always liked/preferred 20 and 16 gauge over the 12 ga. as well . They just seem to fit me better.....

The gun is $499. The only other one I’ve seen in 16 gauge is $750.

I traded a Henry 22 lever action for a pre 64 Winchester 12 in 16 ga. The farmer who owned it had neglected it for years and did not shoot it because of the high cost of ammo. I got a lee jr. for it and really like it because of the small frame. I have a 12 and a 97 in 12 ga. and the 16 is much lighter and easy to swing.

16 ga. model 90's come up for sale fairly regularly on gunbroker. (search Marlin 90 instead of Marlin Model 90). I think $499 for one in 70% condition is a little high. I have two in 90% condition that I would not sell for less than $499.

Also depends on the barrel length. Fewer were made with 26" barrels (IC/Mod) than 28" (mod/full). Also, fewer Model 90ST's were made so they tend to go for more. I have a 16 ga Model 90ST with 26" barrels that is 90+% that I would not sell for less than $600.

I think you can do better for $499. If you like how the gun feels, I'd offer no more than $400 cash. Here is one on Gunbroker with a current bid of $499. Of course you would have to pay shipping and transfer costs. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/812487272
