    .22 1897

    Hello forum.

Just coming here looking for input. My father has had a .22 1897 sitting in his gun closet for my whole life. It has been missing it's breech bolt for at least 30 years.

I'm really trying to put it back together for him for Xmas this year and was hoping some of you fine folks might help lead me to a solution.

I've attached some photos, I can always get more.

I'd really appreciate any help, just a grateful son trying to make his old man happy.

    Thanks!

I am not at expert on these, but look online at Numrich and see what they have.

Thanks, I checked it out and they seem to be perpetually out of stock.

I do work in a machine shop and have access to the equipment needed to make one but it's significantly more difficult then anything I've machined to date and am holding out hope I can find the part somewhere on the web.

    Appreciate the input.
