    Laid away another rifle

I went in my LGS shop yesterday and he was unpacking a couple Ruger 77 22 Magnum rifles. They are the semi-target weight barrels with the matte stainless barrels and action. They were the walnut stocked models with the checkering. I looked at them and one was a little darker wood than the other one and I said "That would be the one I would buy." He said I will put your name on it and put it back. I asked about laying it away and how long. He said it didn't matter how long as long as I was making an effort monthly to pay for it. So it is in lay away for now. I did snap a few pictures of it.

I don't have a problem getting ammo for 22 Magnum. I get mine when I visit Ohio and they almost never fail to have it on the shelves. Don't know where they get it but it is there. I know it is a real problem most places including here in my part of Pa.

Very nice! I think that is one of the models Ruger is planning to "temporarily" discontinue.

I took my SIL to the shop today and showed him the Ruger in lay away. He took one look at it and wanted it really bad so I said go ahead and get it. I think he wanted it way more than I did. I still have my CZ 452 FS and my Ruger Predator both in 22 magnum so all is well and he left here very happy.

Those Rugers are hard to beat. I have a 77/17 topped with a Vortec scope. It is a tack driver and I never have problems finding .17HMR. Enjoy!
